Provides protection to the thin layer of skin covering the back of the hand.
As we age, the skin on the backs of our hands becomes thin and fragile and is easy to damage, more so if blood thinning medication is used. A knock or scratch can cause bruises, rips or tears which are slow to heal, often because the back of the hand continues to get bumped and knocked. We also lose our dexterity so that wearing gloves becomes a challenge especially when doing the house work or gardening.
The Delloch Back-of-Hand Protector provides protection to the thin layer of skin covering the back of the hand and will protect this sensitive area. The protector fits over the back of the hand and is kept in place by inserting the middle finger through the finger loop and fastening the band at the wrist. This allows the wearer to have full use their hand without restriction.
The Back-of Hand Protector is comfortable and unobtrusive, easy to put on and remove. It incorporates a soft foam shield sandwiched between two pieces of polar fleece polyester fabric, can be machine washed and tumble dried. They are sold in pairs.
